Universal Banker II

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by combining teller and sales functions to assist members with financial needs.
• Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan/credit card payments.
• Open and manage consumer and business membership accounts.
• Identify member needs through consultative questioning and recommend appropriate products such as checking, savings, IRAs, and CDs.
• Process loan applications, notify members of decisions, and manage the signing of loan documentation.
• Maintain accurate balancing records and perform branch operational tasks like ATM balancing and vault teller duties.
• Document all member interactions and follow-up plans within the IRM system.
• Support branch leadership by providing mentorship to retail employees and assisting with onboarding.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial branch environment or comparable retail sales experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong ability to interpret financial information such as credit scores, debt, and interest rates.
• Knowledge of loan application processes and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including credit, drug, and criminal screens.
• Ability to work a Saturday rotation schedule and provide coverage at other branches when necessary.
