Universal Banker II

Responsibilities

• Combine teller and sales functions to provide exceptional service to members and potential members
• Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan/credit card payments
• Open and manage consumer and business membership accounts
• Assess member financial needs through consultative questioning to recommend appropriate products like checking, savings, IRAs, and CDs
• Process loan applications, notify members of decisions, and manage required documentation
• Maintain accurate balancing records and comply with all Credit Union policies and procedures
• Utilize branch technology including ATMs, Cash Recyclers, and ITMs to facilitate transactions
• Provide inbound and outbound telephone support for problem resolution and product suggestions
• Support branch leadership through mentorship of retail employees and acting as an onboarding specialist

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial branch environment or comparable retail sales experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with members at all levels in both written and verbal formats
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills to interpret financial information such as credit scores and interest rates
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including credit, drug, and criminal background screens
• Flexibility to provide coverage at other branches and participate in a Saturday rotation schedule
