Universal Banker I

Responsibilities

• Greet members and provide exceptional service in person, over the phone, or digitally
• Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments
• Open and manage consumer and business membership accounts
• Assess member financial needs through consultative questioning to recommend appropriate products like checking, savings, and IRAs
• Process loan applications, review documentation, and notify members of decisions
• Maintain accurate balancing records and manage branch technology such as ATMs and cash recyclers
• Document all member interactions and follow-up needs in the CRM system
• Educate members on credit union services and the benefits of membership

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in a financial branch environment or retail sales
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to pass a background check, including credit and drug screening
• Ability to work a Saturday rotation schedule and provide coverage at other branches as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with the loan application process and internal operating procedures
• Notary Public authorization
