Universal Banker I

Responsibilities

• Greet members and provide exceptional service through account openings, financial transactions, and problem resolution.
• Process various financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan/credit card payments.
• Identify member financial needs through consultative questioning and recommend appropriate products such as checking, savings, IRAs, and CDs.
• Assist with the loan application process, including gathering documentation, processing applications, and delivering loan documents.
• Maintain accurate balancing records and comply with all Credit Union policies, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Utilize branch technology including ATMs, Cash Recyclers, and ITMs to facilitate member services.
• Document all member interactions and follow-up needs within the IRM system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a financial branch environment, the financial industry, or a retail sales environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and colleagues in both written and verbal formats.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to interpret financial information such as credit scores and interest rates.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including credit, drug screen, bondability, and criminal background.
• Availability to work a Saturday rotation schedule and provide coverage at other branches when necessary.
