Universal Banker I

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by processing financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
• Open and manage consumer and business membership accounts
• Assess member financial needs through consultative questioning to recommend appropriate products like checking, savings, and IRAs
• Process loan applications, notify members of decisions, and manage required documentation
• Maintain accurate balancing records and comply with all Credit Union policies and regulatory standards
• Educate members on available services and the benefits of credit union membership
• Document all member interactions and follow-up needs within the IRM system

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 1-3 years of experience in a financial branch environment or comparable retail sales experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with members in both written and verbal formats
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including credit, drug screen, and criminal background
• Ability to work a Saturday rotation schedule and provide coverage at other branches when necessary
