Universal Banker I

Responsibilities

• Combine teller and sales roles to provide exceptional service to members and potential members
• Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments
• Open and manage consumer and business membership accounts
• Assess member financial needs through consultative questioning to recommend appropriate products like checking, savings, and IRAs
• Process loan applications, notify members of decisions, and manage required documentation
• Maintain accurate balancing records and comply with all Credit Union policies and regulatory standards
• Educate members on the full range of credit union services and benefits

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 1-3 years of experience in a financial branch environment or comparable retail sales experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills to interpret financial information
• Ability to pass background, credit, and drug screens
• Ability to work a Saturday rotation schedule and provide coverage at other branches when necessary
