Universal Banker I

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by greeting members and assisting with financial needs, including account openings and transactions.
• Process financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan/credit card payments.
• Maintain accurate balancing records in accordance with teller standards.
• Open and close Consumer and Business Membership accounts and perform account maintenance.
• Process loan applications, notify members of decisions, and manage required documentation.
• Conduct consultative needs assessments to recommend appropriate deposit and loan products.
• Educate members on credit union services and the benefits of membership.
• Utilize branch technology including ATMs, Cash Recyclers, and ITMs to facilitate member transactions.
• Document all member interactions and follow-up tasks within the IRM system.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a financial branch environment or comparable retail sales experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff in both written and verbal formats.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions and interpret financial information such as credit scores and interest rates.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including credit, drug, and criminal background screens.
• Flexibility to provide coverage at other branches and participate in a Saturday rotation schedule.
