Universal Banker

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service by greeting members and assisting with financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
• Open and manage consumer and business membership accounts
• Assess member financial needs through consultative questioning to recommend appropriate products like checking, savings, IRAs, and CDs
• Process loan applications, review documentation, and assist with the signing of loan documents
• Maintain accurate balancing records and comply with all Credit Union policies, federal, state, and local laws
• Utilize branch technology including ATMs, Cash Recyclers, and ITMs to facilitate member transactions
• Document member interactions and follow up on financial needs within the IRM system

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• 1-3 years of experience in a financial branch environment or comparable retail sales experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff in both written and verbal formats
• Ability to pass a background check, including credit, drug, and criminal background screens
• Ability to work a Saturday rotation schedule and provide coverage at other branches when necessary
