Unit Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead a production team in a metal fabrication factory environment to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency goals
• Promote a safety-first culture by engaging in health and safety programs to prevent and eliminate injury
• Drive continuous improvement by engaging worker participation in innovative thinking and operational planning
• Lead daily operations to meet departmental objectives in scheduling, quality, and efficiency
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment through effective communication and feedback
• Support reporting activities and leverage people programs to drive employee engagement

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in an operations environment or similar, with a focus on maintaining a safe work environment
• Ability to read blueprints and experience with metal fabrication processes (e.g., welding, forming, machining)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to achieve business objectives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• University degree or college diploma in operations, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience leading teams specifically within a metal fabrication factory environment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing conflicting priorities
• Strong conflict management, coaching, and feedback skills
• Certifications in health and safety training
