Unit Manager (RN)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical and operational functions of assigned nursing unit(s)
• Lead, supervise, coach, and support RNs, LPNs, and Certified Nursing Assistants
• Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care
• Monitor resident conditions and coordinate appropriate clinical interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Conduct regular clinical rounds and monitor quality indicators
• Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary conferences
• Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
• Assist with staffing coordination, employee coaching, and clinical education
• Address resident, family, and staff concerns professionally
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous nurse management or supervisory experience within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Strong understanding of skilled nursing regulations and clinical operations
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop nursing teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Experience with dementia residents is strongly preferred for Memory Care roles
