Unit Manager, RN

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned nursing unit to deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare and achieve positive clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate nursing coverage for safe patient care.
• Participate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations.
• Mentor and educate nursing staff, serving as a clinical resource for the unit.
• Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and compliance with company policy.
• Provide direct patient care alongside unit nurses to maintain clinical skills.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the state of practice.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma with at least 3 years of nursing experience, OR a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of nurse leadership experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
