Unit Manager - Production

Responsibilities

• Lead a production team of over 170 employees to achieve operational goals and exceed customer expectations
• Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through Lean Six Sigma and 5S methodologies
• Manage unit performance and financial responsibility, including creating and monitoring budgets and forecasts
• Oversee people development, succession planning, and team training to meet current and future demands
• Secure standardized work and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) across fabrication and assembly processes
• Support problem-solving activities and perform audits according to the Alfa Laval Performance System (ALPS)
• Partner with EHS and Quality departments to sustain a strong safety and quality culture on the shop floor
• Assess and prioritize capital investment and digitalization needs to incorporate new technology into the factory

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
• Proven experience with large workforce oversight
• Proficiency with manufacturing MRP/ERP systems
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to lead through people development

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Experience driving results in a high-volume production environment
