Unit Manager Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and synchronize manufacturing cells to meet production targets and customer expectations for High Speed Separators.
• Drive the performance and output of the unit by setting and following up on daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Implement and secure Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM initiatives within the unit.
• Monitor and control WIP, capacity vs. load, and identify/control bottlenecks to ensure smooth production.
• Manage production planning, workflows, and resource allocation using ERP and planning tools.
• Foster a strong safety culture on the shop floor and ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs.
• Lead and develop the manufacturing team, including hiring, training, and mentoring employees.
• Manage union relations to ensure industrial harmony and effective communication between staff and management.
• Oversee repair and maintenance units, including spares and service procurement.

Requirements

• BE in Mechanical, Production, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• 12-15 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing and maintaining effective union relations.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Lean Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning tools.
• In-depth knowledge of machining, assembly, and quality standards.
