Union Store Associate

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers and donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner
• Process customer transactions accurately using cash and debit sales
• Sort, pack, hang, price, and store incoming donations
• Maintain store appearance through tidying, restocking shelves, and cleaning common areas
• Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandise displays to attract customers
• Monitor store security and activity to protect inventory and assets
• Help donors unload contributions and ensure items are placed in appropriate locations
• Adhere to all health and safety policies, including maintaining clear fire exits and managing spills

Requirements

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Proven experience with cash handling and operating cash registers
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including twisting, bending, and reaching
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 30 lbs frequently without assistance
• Computer literacy and experience working in a computerized environment
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including weekdays and Saturdays
