About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise clearance and sweep teams during UXO operations
- Oversee on-site demilitarization of munitions of explosive concern (MEC) and the handling of demolition materials
- Prepare explosives storage plans, munitions response actions, and range maintenance administrative reports
- Develop standard operating procedures for on-site munitions responses and range clearance activities
- Conduct daily site safety briefings and assist in performing risk and hazard analyses
- Inspect, certify, and verify Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) for safety and DoD compliance
- Identify, locate, extract, and consolidate discarded military munitions
Requirements
- Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school
- At least eight years of combined military and commercial UXO experience
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (IAW 29 CFR 1910.120)
- Current 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER Physical
- Valid Driver License and ability to travel outside the US
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside normal hours at short notice and away from primary work locations
