EOD school graduate or 3 years commercial UXO experience, 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification, HAZWOPER Physical, Valid Driver License, Ability to lift 50 pounds, Ability to travel outside the US
About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify, locate, extract, and move discarded military munitions (MEC)
- Properly store explosive materials according to applicable guidance
- Determine precise locations in field environments using GPS, topographical maps, and compasses
- Perform field collection procedures to identify contaminated soil
- Prepare on-site holding areas to temporarily stow munitions and explosives of concern
- Operate transportation modes for moving UXO when risk is determined acceptable
- Provide limited technical supervision of UXO Clearance/Sweep personnel
- Inspect materials potentially presenting an explosive hazard (MPPEH) for safety risks
- Escort non-UXO personnel within exclusion areas
Requirements
- Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school or a qualified UXO school with at least 3 years of commercial UXO experience
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (IAW 29 CFR 1910.120)
- Current 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER Physical
- Valid Driver License
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to travel outside the US and work away from primary locations
- Ability to work outside normal hours at short notice
