Underwriting Technician, E&S Property

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters with reviewing submissions, quoting, binding, policy issuance, and endorsement workflows
• Create, register, process, and distribute binders, policies, and endorsements within established processing standards
• Develop and maintain underwriting workflows and procedures to ensure accurate documentation for all bound accounts
• Prepare all policies in accordance with final binders, including review by underwriting staff
• Review and analyze facultative reinsurance certificates as directed by management
• Proactively communicate with producers regarding outstanding information to support the underwriting process
• Provide backup support to team members to ensure continuity of operations and service standards

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting or insurance support
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey information and ideas
