Responsibilities

• Establish underwriting standards, decision frameworks, and exception governance
• Lead analytics and decision-making related to credit underwriting for new and existing customers
• Monitor acquisition portfolio performance and refine underwriting criteria
• Develop and maintain underwriting policies, scorecards, and risk models
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance underwriting tools and automation
• Provide strategic insights and reporting to senior management on credit performance
• Mentor and lead the underwriting team to strengthen analytical capability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in credit underwriting, risk analytics, or credit policy roles
• Proven experience in the financial services industry (banking, fintech, or lending)
• Strong analytical skills to interpret credit data and portfolio performance metrics
• Experience developing underwriting frameworks, credit policies, or scorecards
• Solid understanding of credit risk management and regulatory compliance
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
