Underwriting & Portfolio Operations Intern

Responsibilities

• Onboard new installer partners by collecting and reviewing documentation and running required checks.
• Monitor the installer portfolio to track partner activity and performance, flagging deviations from expectations.
• Support the end-to-end customer financing lifecycle, including underwriting documentation and ongoing servicing.
• Prepare, validate, and reconcile payment data, invoices, and partner settlements.
• Manage operational cases by investigating issues and documenting outcomes for internal stakeholders.
• Use AI tools and coding assistants to identify and automate repetitive manual tasks through lightweight scripts.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and a strong curiosity about SQL.
• Experience using AI tools (such as Claude or Claude Code) as a core part of your workflow.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Based in Berlin and able to work on-site in an office-first environment.
• A methodical approach to complex operational data and a high degree of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BI or data visualization tools like Metabase or Looker.
• German language proficiency (B2 level or above).
