Underwriting Operations Technician – Digital

Responsibilities

• Oversee AI-assisted processing for the Iberian SME portfolio, managing digital workflows and resolving complex insurance exception cases.
• Monitor automated processing queues and triage exception cases that fall outside straight-through processing thresholds.
• Review and validate AI-extracted data against source documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Identify patterns in AI-generated exceptions and escalate recurring anomalies to improve model performance.
• Manage Broker Network setup and maintenance, supporting partners with digital self-service capabilities.
• Perform quality control checks and audits across both automated and manually processed work.
• Collaborate with technology teams to refine automation rules and participate in testing new AI workflows.

Requirements

• Business-level proficiency in both English and French is essential.
• Proven experience in insurance or financial services operations.
• Strong understanding of the policy lifecycle, data entry, and document management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to work effectively in an AI-augmented environment and apply professional judgment to complex cases.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
