About the role
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and evaluate title searches, surveys, and insurance risk factors for real estate transactions
- Evaluate risk and exposures to determine the acceptability of business
- Provide high-level support to agents and approved attorneys to ensure accurate issuance of commitments and policies
- Explain underwriting requirements, exceptions, and risk considerations clearly to internal and external customers
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on title insurance and related law in Massachusetts
- Determine premiums, terms, and conditions based on established rules, rates, and guidelines
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Strong expertise in risk analysis and title search evaluation
