Underwriting Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the health insurance underwriting process, including the evaluation and authorization of quotes and renewals.
• Analyze portfolio loss ratios, frequency, and severity to drive informed decision-making.
• Define and implement underwriting policies, guidelines, conditions, and exclusions.
• Collaborate with the Actuarial department to define rates, reserves, and technical models.
• Monitor portfolio performance and propose adjustments to premiums or coverage conditions.
• Participate in technical negotiations with agents, promoters, and key clients.
• Ensure compliance with current regulations (e.g., CNSF) and internal controls.
• Supervise and lead the underwriting team.

Requirements

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Personal or Health Underwriting.
• Experience in team management and leadership.
• Proficiency in creating Dashboards and managing KPIs.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI.
• English language proficiency.
