Underwriting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day pricing and underwriting activities for new and renewal business opportunities
• Partner with the Underwriting Team to enhance financial models, reporting procedures, and underwriting processes
• Assist senior underwriters with the development and execution of pricing strategies
• Prepare underwriting presentations and supporting documentation, including identifying potential risks
• Gather, review, and organize external data to support underwriting analysis and decision-making
• Analyze and develop pricing models for new and existing products
• Manage assigned tasks across multiple projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of underwriting and financial reporting systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Economics (or equivalent relevant work experience)
• 1-3+ years of experience in financial analysis, actuarial services, accounting, pricing, or underwriting
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
• Experience manipulating large data sets and interpreting historical claims data
• Strong knowledge of risk management, statistics, and financial modeling
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Pharmacy, PBM, or Health Plan environments
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or R
