Underground Utility Crew

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain underground water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
• Perform deep excavations and ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes using lasers and grade instruments
• Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, backhoes, and trenchers
• Collaborate with a crew to dig trenches, lay pipe/conduit, backfill, and compact soil
• Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and confined space entry procedures

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License with a clean record
• Proven history of installing water, sewer, and storm services
• Proficiency with pipe lasers, line and grade, and fusion welding
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform manual labor in varying weather conditions
• Knowledge of trench safety and underground utility locating

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL license
• HDPE fusion welding experience
