Underground Trainer

Responsibilities

• Deliver training on underground mining equipment including Jumbo Drills, Bolters, and Haulage Trucks
• Facilitate Underground and Plant Orientation programs for new employees
• Maintain and manage employee training records and competency documentation
• Administer training management systems and digital platforms like Sofvie
• Educate participants on hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety procedures
• Train and evaluate the competency of equipment operators
• Assist the Health & Safety Department with emergency response and evacuation training
• Identify training gaps and develop revised assessment resources

Requirements

• Proven experience with Boltec (RCS5/RCS4) and Epiroc MS2, L2C Jumbos
• Proficient knowledge of industry legislation (OHSA, ESA, MTCU Core Modular Training)
• Ability to travel as required
• Willingness to work at various underground mine sites
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Train the Trainer (TTT) designation
