About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide access control, building patrol, and grounds patrol
- Maintain accurate and timely rounds of assigned areas
- Monitor CCTV and manage parking
- Respond to dangerous or urgent situations and report details to management or first responders
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Post Orders
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass extensive background checks (VA State Police & FBI fingerprints)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds
- Proficiency in basic technology (email, scheduling software, Zoom, MS Teams)
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to work in all-weather environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful completion of required DCJS training course
- Ability to communicate effectively in English via radio and written reports
