Unarmed Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage guest and visitor access and eject trespassers when necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals and vehicles
• Document and maintain visitor logs and notify residents of arrivals
• Protect people and equipment by enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and detect suspicious behavior
• Patrol interior and exterior perimeters to identify safety and security risks
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms, and emergencies by contacting first responders
• Identify and report safety concerns and security breaches in a timely manner
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation and reports

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid state security licensing
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
• Physical ability to crawl, crouch, climb stairs, kneel, run, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays with little to no advance notice
