Unarmed Retail Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Detect suspicious behavior and deter vandalism, theft, or criminal activity
• Patrol interior and exterior property on foot or in a vehicle
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security
• Report alarms and contact emergency services (police, paramedics, fire) when necessary
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking
• Complete parking patrols and issue violations
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Maintain familiarity with site-specific operations and post orders
• Execute site opening and closing procedures including locking/unlocking areas

Requirements

• Active DOPL Guard Card (or willingness to obtain one)
• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Availability for weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in security or customer service fields
