Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized ultrasound examinations including breast, abdominal, pelvic, renal, thyroid, and soft tissue masses
• Prepare patients for procedures by assessing needs and providing necessary education
• Gather and verify patient history and enter data into the diagnostic imaging information system
• Complete worksheets with exam findings for Radiologist review
• Ensure all procedure codes and documentation are accurately updated in the PACS system
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, clinic staff, and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

• Completion of a recognized post-diploma sonography program or equivalent
• Current Sonography Canada registration in good standing
• ARDMS or CRGS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience
• Experience in at least two diagnostic ultrasound specialty areas
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in breast ultrasound
• One year of experience and registry in remaining sub-specialties
• Previous experience with PACS and GE ultrasound equipment
• CPR and WHMIS certifications
