Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations including proper patient positioning and documentation
• Execute specialized ultrasound protocols for General, Breast, Vascular, OB/GYN, and MSK
• Perform daily quality checks of images to ensure ACR and internal standards
• Assist in gathering data for ACR, DOH, and ARDMS accreditation renewals
• Serve as primary instructor for staff sonographers, providing feedback and competency assessments
• Oversee patient flow and manage staff sonographer schedules and time sheets
• Monitor equipment performance, perform routine calibrations, and coordinate repairs
• Manage medical supply inventory and ensure suite sanitation
• Act as local point of contact for Radiologists regarding urgent clinical findings
• Utilize Athena, RIS, and PACS for documentation and image processing

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification
• RVT and Breast registries strongly preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Prior experience in a Charge or Lead capacity preferred
• High proficiency in scheduling and resource management
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
