Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging in accordance with Atria safety protocols, policies, and procedures
• Utilize proper patient positioning, equipment adjustment, and ergonomic scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Assume responsibility for patient safety during imaging and communicate effectively based on the patient's ability to understand
• Refer specific diagnostic, treatment, or prognosis questions to the appropriate physician or healthcare professional
• Act as a professional role model and technical expert for staff sonographers

Requirements

• Active ARDMS certification (required for ACR accreditation)
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• High proficiency in planning schedules and managing local department resources
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to make sound judgments during high-stress situations or emergency surges

Preferred Qualifications

• RVT and Breast registries
• Prior experience in a "Charge" or "Lead" capacity
