Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform in vivo cardiac imaging using echocardiography (B-mode, M-mode, Doppler)
• Support experimental design and contribute to protocol development and optimization
• Analyze and interpret imaging data, including statistical analysis and data reporting
• Perform biomethods including injections, tail clipping, ear notching, and blood collection
• Assist in training and supporting students, staff, and collaborators
• Promote safe lab practices and ensure compliance with IACUC protocols
• Oversee instrument operation, maintenance, and calibration
• Support general lab operations including colony maintenance, genotyping, histology, dosing, and necropsy

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on in vivo mouse research experience
• Strong skills in animal handling, husbandry, dosing, and necropsy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word
• Ability to analyze data and interpret results with high attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of in vivo mouse research experience
• Experience with imaging modalities such as ultrasound, MRI, or CT
• Experience with data analysis tools including PRISM, R, or Python
• Advanced experience in animal dosing and necropsy
