About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and supervise technical aircraft inspections to ensure airworthiness and compliance with specifications.
  • Develop and implement quality control and ground safety programs.
  • Perform audits of work centers, maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
  • Examine parts and components for conformance to design specifications and determine serviceability.
  • Review maintenance source documents, inspection records, and technical data for accuracy and trends.
  • Initiate and review quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports, and hazardous material reports.
  • Conduct safety inspections, training, and drills, and verify documentation of flight discrepancies.
  • Brief and debrief pilots and crew members assigned to functional check flights.
  • Provide guidance to lower-level technicians regarding repair and inspection techniques.
  • Maintain aircraft logs, records, and configuration control.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of recent applicable aircraft maintenance experience.
  • One (1) year of experience inspecting UH60 (MDS) assigned aircraft.
  • A valid and up-to-date FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
  • A valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain facility credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation Enhanced (ULLS-AE).
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair.
