UAV Technical Documentation Writer

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and manage technical documents including engineering manuals and regulatory reports
• Create and maintain a structured documentation repository for internal and external use
• Collaborate with aerospace engineers, flight test teams, and compliance specialists
• Translate technical jargon into user-friendly, precise content
• Implement documentation best practices, templates, and frameworks

Requirements

• Experience in technical writing within aerospace, UAVs, or engineering
• Ability to translate highly technical concepts into structured documentation
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, LaTeX, or DITA
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in engineering, aerospace, or physics
• Experience with regulatory and compliance documentation (ITAR, EASA, SORA, etc.)
• Familiarity with Markdown, HTML, or XML
