UAS Trainer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update training curricula and instructional materials for UAS platforms.
• Deliver classroom instruction, hands-on training, and field-based exercises for initial and sustainment training.
• Execute New Equipment Training (NET) in support of system fielding and deployment activities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and certified sUAS Master Trainer for supported platforms.
• Support training for operators, maintainers, instructors, and support personnel across multiple mission sets.
• Coordinate training activities with system fielding plans and configuration baselines.
• Provide support for training devices, simulators, and digital training environments.
• Manage accountability of training assets, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Army training doctrine, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Certified sUAS Master Trainer.
• Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course (CFD-IC) certification.
• Experience developing and delivering technical or operational training programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools like MS Teams.
• Ability to support work onsite at Redstone Arsenal with potential travel requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting U.S. Army UAS programs, preferably within CPE Aviation.
• UAS Instructor/Operator qualification.
• Familiarity with UAS platforms, operations, and maintenance concepts.
• Experience with Army Training Doctrine and New Equipment Training (NET) activities.
• Familiarity with simulation systems, mission planning tools, and digital training environments.
