Responsibilities
- Test hardware and pilot drones to enhance Drone as First Responder (DFR) capabilities
- Ensure the reliability and performance of drone systems
- Provide critical insights and improvements for technology
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluation of drone systems
- Communicate test results and generate reports based on long-term testing data
- Conduct field operations and maintenance tasks
Requirements
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Knowledge of FAA Regulations and Safety Protocols
- Experience in drone operations, preferably in experimental UAS development
- Proficiency in piloting various drone models and understanding UAV technology
- Experience with drone hardware and software testing
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 55 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors over 70% of the time
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in experimental UAS development
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
