Responsibilities

• Test hardware and pilot drones to advance Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs
• Ensure the reliability and performance of drone systems
• Provide critical insights and improvements for UAS technology
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluation of drone systems
• Communicate test results and generate reports based on long-term testing data
• Support logistics and field operations

Requirements

• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
• Knowledge of FAA Regulations and Safety Protocols
• Experience in drone operations, preferably in experimental UAS development
• Proficiency in piloting various drone models and UAV technology
• Experience with drone hardware and software testing
• Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 55 lbs
• Ability to work outdoors over 70% of the time
• Ability to travel up to 25% domestically

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in experimental UAS development
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
