UAS Propulsion Technician

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test production engines, fuel tanks, ignition systems, and rotor systems.
• Perform propulsion systems development, fabrication, and assembly.
• Troubleshoot failure modes and provide detailed photo documentation.
• Operate manual machine tools including drill, lathe, mill, and dyno.
• Align, fit, and assemble propulsion system component parts using hand or power tools.
• Maintain part inventory and order replacement stock as needed.
• Review technical documentation including drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials.
• Assist with manufacturing, production, and quality process improvements.
• Develop work instructions, test procedures, and quality documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5 years of relevant experience in propulsion or mechanical systems.
• Experience designing mechanical test setups.
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, such as engine test stands.
• Experience working with data acquisition systems.
• Fundamental understanding of two-stroke engines and fuel systems.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment related to engine maintenance and testing.
