About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of up to 35 technicians across composite, mechanical, electrical, propulsion, and final assembly operations
- Coordinate workflow, staffing, and task delegation to meet critical production schedules and delivery milestones
- Ensure strict compliance with AS9100, OSHA, 5S, and other regulatory requirements
- Train, mentor, and manage the performance of technicians, including maintaining skill matrices and training plans
- Identify and implement process improvements using Lean manufacturing methods and time studies
- Manage production documentation, configuration control, and ERP/MRP data entry
- Resolve production and quality issues through structured problem-solving methods
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation or production environments
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or covered under existing ITAR license)
Preferred Qualifications
- AA, AS, or BA/BS in Aerospace Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of aviation experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) License
- Lean Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience
- Detailed knowledge of Aerospace and/or Military Standards
