TV Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain greenlight financial models for scripted and unscripted TV projects, incorporating episodic budgets, license fees, and tax incentives.
• Model complex talent participations, residuals, and backend structures to ensure accurate project-level P&Ls.
• Partner with Business Affairs to evaluate competing deal structures and provide financial recommendations on rights packages and financing.
• Own the long-range financial plan for the TV slate, including annual operating plans and quarterly reforecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget) and design systems to track development spend and KPIs.
• Serve as the primary finance liaison to TV Development, Production, and Business Affairs teams.
• Maintain TV project databases and financial tracking infrastructure using tools like Airtable and Pigment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in entertainment finance, investment banking, or corporate finance.
• Expert-level Excel skills with experience in dynamic scenario modeling and waterfall structures.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in Airtable or similar structured database tools.
• Fluency in PowerPoint for creating executive-level narratives and decks.
• Solid understanding of GAAP financial reporting and the ability to analyze P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Ability to interpret legal contracts and identify key financial terms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to TV/film production finance or content deal analysis.
• Background working at a studio, streamer, or major media company.
• Familiarity with Pigment or similar FP&A tooling.
