TV Device Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure new devices for testing
• Maintain existing devices, including updates and availability
• Create custom cables and manage cabling organization
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues
• Manage lab operations, including organization and record-keeping
• Manage lab network using UniFi configuration
• Manage Home Assistant deployment for monitoring and automation
• Monitor lab health, including environmental conditions and network
• Ensure health and safety compliance within the lab
• Support partners with lab setup and configuration

Requirements

• Hands-on technical confidence with hardware, wiring, and troubleshooting
• Strong communication skills for handling support requests
• Highly organized with an instinct for maintaining shared environments
• Self-directed ability to own a physical space
• Electronics skills or experience
• Approximately 10 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Networking knowledge (UniFi or similar)
• Experience making and terminating custom cables
• Experience with Home Assistant
• Familiarity with connected-TV, streaming, or device-testing environments
• Understanding of test automation
• Health & safety training
