Tutor

Responsibilities

• Implement assigned reading or math curriculum by leading small groups and assisting in classrooms
• Plan and execute targeted teaching opportunities to help students reach grade-level benchmarks
• Collaborate with teachers, campus administration, and site facilitators to integrate intervention goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and tutoring activities in the district database
• Supervise students between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM both inside and outside program areas
• Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and teachers regarding student instruction and goals
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Ability to manage student behavior in both traditional and distance learning environments
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain student logs and documentation accurately
• Ability to project a friendly and helpful attitude toward students and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and level
