Requirements

Current UIW graduate student, 6 months experience explaining concepts to students, Strong communication skills, Interpersonal skills

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic tutoring, writing assistance, and reading support to undergraduate students in individual or group settings
  • Facilitate workshops, exam reviews, and embedded tutoring sessions
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to Peer Tutors
  • Assist with center-related tasks including outreach, record-keeping, and resource creation
  • Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and ethical conduct

Requirements

  • Current UIW graduate student
  • At least 6 months of experience explaining academic concepts to students
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience and empathy toward learners
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency with basic office equipment and computer software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal tutoring or teaching experience
