Current UIW graduate student, 6 months experience explaining concepts to students, Strong communication skills, Interpersonal skills
About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide academic tutoring, writing assistance, and reading support to undergraduate students in individual or group settings
- Facilitate workshops, exam reviews, and embedded tutoring sessions
- Offer guidance and mentorship to Peer Tutors
- Assist with center-related tasks including outreach, record-keeping, and resource creation
- Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and ethical conduct
Requirements
- Current UIW graduate student
- At least 6 months of experience explaining academic concepts to students
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience and empathy toward learners
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficiency with basic office equipment and computer software
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal tutoring or teaching experience
