About the Company

Middlebury’s School of Hebrew (SoH) combines a cultural immersion environment with rigorous daily classroom instruction. The SoH provides a community of learners where students pledge to read, write, and speak exclusively in Hebrew.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring for language learners requiring extra academic support
• Support the overall mission of the School by contributing to co-curricular and cultural offerings
• Work with students during class sessions
• Fill in for teachers in the classroom if needed

Requirements

• Academic background in Hebrew
• Experience as a Hebrew tutor in group and individual settings
• Experience with and sensitivity to diverse groups of learners
• Native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew (oral and written)
• Enthusiastic, dynamic, and confident teaching style
