Turnaround Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead all activities associated with maintenance TAR, shutdowns, and outages
• Manage an annual maintenance budget of $5–10 million
• Schedule and plan work orders using project management principles
• Lead TAR meetings and communications for all phases of the shutdown
• Estimate time, materials, equipment, and manpower requirements
• Coordinate the availability of parts and materials to ensure timely task completion
• Track TAR schedules and costs daily throughout the duration of the outage
• Create detailed work order packages including drawings, schematics, and safety analyses
• Conduct post-TAR reviews to identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain schedules using planning and scheduling software

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in the power plant industry, or
• Equivalent work experience of at least 10 years in the power plant industry
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proficiency with maintenance planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of CMMS systems like MAXIMO, OWAM, or MP2
• Strong knowledge of industrial materials, equipment, and tooling
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and project management skills
