Turbocharger Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for various turbochargers.
• Identify technical problems and conduct analysis through remote or on-site activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate and ensure all necessary materials, parts, and equipment are available and meet quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and identifying new sales opportunities.
• Proactively identify suggestions for product and quality improvements to communicate within the organization.
• Adhere to all safety rules, environmental responsibilities, and report any unsafe practices or incidents.

Requirements

• 7 years of experience providing technical support for power plants, marine vessels, or offshore outposts.
• Proficiency in general and advanced thermal balancing.
• Experience in failure report analysis and performing non-destructive testing.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for work orders and inventory management.
• Expertise in advanced rigging and leading LMRA reviews for complex lifting operations.
• Ability and willingness to travel 60% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
