Tunnelling Pit Boss

Responsibilities

• Manage Gangers and Lead Miners within tunnelling operations
• Ensure day-to-day lifting operations are controlled as defined by the Appointed Person
• Take responsibility for the control of workplace transport in assigned areas
• Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and used according to site rules and procedures
• Maintain accurate written records and site diaries
• Organise and manage the timely supply of materials
• Provide expert advice, support, and guidance for all daily work activities

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role managing Health and Safety on site
• Previous experience within tunnelling operations
• CSCS Site Supervisor qualification
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
