Tunnelling Pit Boss

Responsibilities

• Manage Gangers and Lead Miners
• Ensure day to day lifting operations are controlled as defined by the Appointed Person
• Control workplace transport in assigned areas of work
• Ensure personal protective equipment is provided and used according to site rules
• Maintain written records and site diaries
• Organise and manage the supply of materials
• Provide expert advice, support, and guidance relating to all daily works

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisor role managing Health and Safety on site
• CSCS Site Supervisor qualification
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
• Tunnelling experience
