Tunnelling Foreman

Responsibilities

• Manage Gangers and Lead Miners
• Ensure day to day lifting operations are controlled as defined by the Appointed Person
• Responsible for the control of workplace transport in assigned areas
• Ensure personal protective equipment is provided and used according to site rules
• Maintain written records and site diaries
• Organise and manage the supply of materials in a timely manner
• Provide expert advice, support, and guidance relating to all daily works activities
• Oversee works to ensure personnel safely undertake required tasks
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment while motivating the workforce
• Ensure efficiency and productivity in achieving project targets

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisor role managing Health and Safety on site
• CSCS Site Supervisors Qualification
• SMSTS or SSSTS Qualification
• Tunnelling experience
