About the Company

Smith Engineering Hyperloop is an internationally acclaimed student team that seeks to innovate the future of green transportation. The team consists of four unique branches: Technical, Research and Development, Business and Logistics, and Tunneling and Boring.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of the team's tunnel boring machine (TBM) project
• Oversee all tunneling-related subteams and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and drilling aspects
• Ensure successful integration between subsystems
• Manage project planning, technical reviews, manufacturing activities, testing, and competition preparation
• Maintain project timelines and deliverables
• Recruit and mentor team members
• Foster collaboration across disciplines and maintain technical documentation
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with team safety standards and engineering best practices
